Ampthill Writers’ Group
Do you write stories, blogs, poems, plays or non-fiction? If you’re in or around Ampthill, Bedfordshire then you’re more than welcome to join us. We focus on being sociable, because writing can be a lonely business. So, whether you’ve been writing for years or you’re just starting out then come along. We meet to encourage one another. There are no formal readings, there’s nothing to prepare, just turn up for a drink and chat about your work in progress… or not, because we know that feeling too.
New books from our writers…
We have just started creating a list of all the books written by members of the Group (but curating these lists take time, so please be patient!)
Ampthill Writers’ meet up…
We normally meet in The Albion pub on Dunstable Street, Ampthill on the first Wednesday of each month from 8.00pm. We’re usually towards the back.
Our next gatherings are:
December Christmas Meal – Wed 5th December at the Knife and Cleaver in Houghton Conquest (Bookings only)
Wednesday 2nd January (back at The Albion)
There’s a new feature on our website — the ‘Writing resources‘ page. Please feel free to suggest further items that you yourself find helpful.
You can get in email contact with the group via firstname.lastname@example.org There’s more about the group’s ethos on the About Us page.
